Hello,
I have my motherboard: SUSTeK COMPUTER INC. CM6731_CM6431_CM6331 Rev X.0x
Motherboard serial number: 121105053301544
Manufacturer (system): ASUSTeK Computer INC.
Model (system): CM6731_CM6431_CM6331-8
and an Intel Pentium G2120 processor clocked at 3.10 GHz
Number of cores: 2 physical, 2 logical
Socket: Socket 1155 LGA
and I would like to buy a core i5, and if that’s not possible, a core i3
Thank you for your reply.
Configuration: Windows / Firefox 29.0

Hi
Just tell us the exact model of your Asus PC, it will be easier to find.
Regarding the socket, yes it's possible; the i3 and i5 Sandy Bridge (2nd) and Ivy Bridge (3rd generation) on socket 1155.
But it's not just the socket that matters.

Before asking a question: 1° Turn on your brain, your PC doesn't think for you!
2° Google is your friend, and the search engine of CCM is too, do some research! -

It seems to be a motherboard apparently similar to this one https://dlcdnwebsites.asus.com/maintain/web/500.html P8H61-M LX but it's not exactly that.
Most i3, i5, and i7 series 2000 and 3000 are supported, but it's still a bit random without the exact specifications of the motherboard, which are hard to find.
The only way to really know is to try. But it's better to update the BIOS here: https://dlcdnwebsites.asus.com/maintain/web/500.html -
