Hello everyone,
A friend entrusted me with his laptop (originally with Windows 8) so that I could format the hard drive and install Windows 7.
I'm not a pro, but I've done it about ten times without any issues, it's an easy operation.
But now, when I enter the BIOS menu, I can't select which device to boot from (hard drive or CD drive).
I installed Windows 7 from another PC onto the hard drive, and once it was reassembled, it's impossible to boot from the hard drive or the CD drive.
Here are some photos of the BIOS menu. Has anyone dealt with this menu before and knows how to configure it?
Thanks in advance!

Problem solved! All it took was to set "enable" on the "Launch CSM" parameter (photo1). Then, we save and restart, and when we return to the "boot" menu, it offers us the boot priority options.
Windows 7 is properly installed, and the PC works perfectly.
Thank you all, and good luck!

Hello
We can't install it on another PC and then connect it later
Each PC is quite different
A bit of reading

Is a PC like a car? If you don't maintain it
One fine morning it won't start anymore

Thank you for your quick responses! I'm learning things.
Okay, so in any case, I will take apart the hard drive and format it.
Then, indeed, the line "boot priorities option" is grayed out, you can't click on it.
Is it possible that the manufacturer has locked this parameter?
I have two more things to try:
- reset the motherboard: on desktop computers, I know you remove the battery to do this and put it back. Does it work the same way on a laptop?
- try all the F* keys to hopefully hit the "boot priority" menu. Because on this PC, it doesn't show any access button to the boot at startup. You have to try to find it.

Hi,
It's normal that installing the system on another PC and then replacing the hard drive doesn't work because Windows installs drivers for the hardware it's on during installation. So they are not necessarily the same from one PC to another.
However, it's strange that you can't access the Boot Priorities option in the Boot tab... Have you tried clicking on "Delete boot option" to see if it allows you to configure it afterwards?
On certain models, you can press a button at startup to choose which device to boot from.
