Hello,
I have a friend who has a Livebox, and we decided to set up (test) the VPN offered by his Livebox! Once the DynDNS is set up, we move on to the VPN configuration
General Group Configuration:
Group Name: General
VPN Software: Shrew
User: (my user is checked)
Authentication: Xauth
IP Address Assignment: DHCP
Internet Access: Direct
Tunnel Configuration Mode: Easy
Shared key configured
I configure Shrew using the Orange tool
I launch Shrew (after restarting),
I connect to VPN Network, I enter the username and password,
and there:
config loaded for site 'VPN network'
configuring client settings ...
attached to key daemon ...
peer configured
iskamp proposal configured
esp proposal configured
ipcomp proposal configured
client configured
local id configured
pre-shared key configured
bringing up tunnel ...
negotiation timeout occurred
tunnel disabled
detached from key daemon ...
I can see that the connection has not been established.
On the Livebox, in Log->Security Journal, I have an entry
Jul 21 11:25:06 2014
Incoming traffic
Connection closed
86ceba60 UDP 90.16.XXX.XXX 500 <--> 90.16.XXX.XXX 500 [78.113.YYY.YYY 500 ] IKE IN cookie: 0.0, No Child ppp0 Incoming FP
Jul 21 11:27:31 2014
Incoming traffic
Connection opened
86ceba60 UDP 90.16.XXX.XXX 500 <--> 90.16.XXX.XXX 500 [78.113.YYY.YYY 500 ] ppp0 Incoming
What is this jargon (I recognized port 500, but the rest!)
I set the Livebox firewall to Low, disabled the Windows Firewall and Antivirus on the client PC, disabled the firewall of the Neufbox on the client PC, reconfigured everything manually via tutorials on the internet, nothing works!!!
Could you enlighten me and explain what is going wrong!!?
Thank you,
MicroTechno
