Hello,
Let me explain the whole situation:
I have a software that refuses to uninstall, so I decided to restart my computer in safe mode. In the advanced startup menu, I select to restart in safe mode with network support. However, upon booting, I get a black screen. No matter how many times I restart with the power button, I always end up with a black screen.
After a while, I see a screen with the message "hibernate," which keeps looping. I have waited for 2 hours, or forced a restart 100 times, but I always return to this blue screen with "hibernate" (even though I have never used this function).
Pressing F8 or shift+F8 during boot does absolutely nothing; all I can do is access the BIOS with F2.
So my computer is completely stuck at the moment.
Thank you for your help.
My computer is a Sony Vaio VGN-AR41E with Windows 8.1 32 bits.

You just need to press the power button for about twenty seconds and then release it....
It worked for me...
