Hello, I obtained a Surface 2 at the beginning of December, and since I got it, sometimes when I turn it on, the screen stays black. It is indeed on because when I press the Windows button at the bottom of the tablet, it vibrates. Best regards.

It sometimes happens to me with the original Surface; I think it's in sleep mode then. All I do is press the power button (on the right, at the top of the screen, on the edge, unless they've changed its position with the Surface 2) and the image comes back.
