Hello, I have a problem with my Wii console, I can't connect to the internet, it always shows error 52230. I have a D-Link DI-524 router. If anyone knows, please let me know.

    Well,
I see that there are extraordinarily empirical solutions without any real analysis of the problem...
So, for an error 52230, here’s the issue!!! It's not that the Wii can't connect to the router... it's that it can't reach the site conntest.nintendowifi.net via http (actually, it's making a GET http://conntest.nintendowifi.net/)!

Therefore, if you have this error, check that you are allowing the Wii to access the internet, on port 80 (and then on port 443 / https).
If you have a firewall, or a MAC address limitation set, dig into that area.

For those who want a bit of reading, here is the dump of the Wi-Fi communication:

Hi, I had the same problem as you, so I entered the Wii's MAC address into the Neuf box. Then on the Wii, when you have the choice of connection, you see the Wi-Fi lock that's open and the other option below it. You choose the second option and enter the WAP key that is written under your box (only the first 13 letters). Then you follow the instructions, and you should have succeeded. There you go, I hope I was able to help you.

Go to the wireless menu of the router; there should be something like MAC filtering (also check the firewall on some routers).

I couldn't do it, but by searching I found that for all those with a Neuf box, you just need to select "wireless connection" and click on the one with the closed padlock. They will ask you for a key, so look under your Neuf box where it says WPA, remember this code and enter it as the key. It should work.

    I had the same problem.

Set the channel to 1 or 11 (those are the ones at the ends of the band, I use 11).

Then make sure that mixed mode is enabled; the Wii is in B, and if you're only broadcasting in G, it won't work.

And set a maximum of 2 Mb; otherwise, it won't go through.

If these three conditions are not met, you won't be able to connect.

I know it's a hassle, but well, it's Nintendo. Personally, I only set these parameters for updates; otherwise, 2 Mb is too slow for me...

        Hi

to establish a connection, try putting your router in pairing mode the first time while the Wii connects.

You need to go to the settings with your console, there will be an option for internet, go in there, then you put search for a hotspot, there will be a lot of stuff and on your neufbox, you will see the name of your modem (ex: neuf2ce4) and below it (ex: neuf2ce4 wep), you have to select the wep, and they will ask you for the wifi code which is on the modem, it's a bunch of letters and numbers, you enter it and then they will ask you to do an update, do it and after that you can play online for free!!!!!!!!! =)

Hi, I don't have the Wii yet

so I would like to know:
-To play online with people from around the world, is it with the internet?
-Do all participants need to have the game to play together?
-How many Wiis can play together like this?

    Thanks in advance!!
