Hi,

I'm still working on version 12.4 of Ciel, and the PC's motherboard is dead, so I had to reinstall Ciel. No problem with the backups, but I can't find my customizable invoice drawings and other documents.
How can I recover them?
Thank you in advance for your response because I'm quite upset...

Hello,

After 6 months of searching, I hope you found a solution! For those facing the same difficulties:

You need to copy the contents of the "Etats" folder from the Ciel backup into the following folder:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Ciel\Applications\Ciel Gestion Commerciale\Compléments utilisateur\Etats

(click Yes when asked if you want to replace the Catalog file)

I imagine there is a more conventional solution, but I don't know it.

Here’s how to do it

I retrieved my invoice templates from the old PC at the location C:\Données de ciel\Dossier de sauvegarde\Compléments utilisateur\Etats (you need to take it from the location of the last backup that was made)
and pasted them into the folder C:\Programmes files\Ciel\Ciel Gestion Commerciale\Compléments utilisateur\Etats on my new PC (Windows 8).
Then I open Ciel, go to folder/tools/custom states, and click on the Tools button => Update the list of states.
Miracle, it works and all my invoice templates are there!

Thanks to lemalex for suggesting where to go

Hi,

I found a clue while going into the configurable states; there's a blue arrow icon, and by clicking on it, I can import states. The problem is that the file format in my backup is not correct: my states are not SgRep files.
I need to convert these files, and indeed it seems that today I will have to redo my states...

It's a no, take your states, put them in the folder that our friend lemalex specified, open sky, Folder >>> options >>> adjustable states >>> tools >>> update the list of states.

That's it.

my opinion,
you're going to have to redo your settings
