So how do I explain this!!!
It's in the "configurable states" that everything will happen;
Indeed, generally, it's when creating the company that one MUST pay attention;
However, if the problem arises on an invoice, for example:
1=> Go to the configurable state of the invoice,
2=> Uncheck "Simple script"
3=> Then, click on "Insert a function"
4=> Choose "Maths" and then "FX, .............."
5=> in the right column, on the first line, in the "Number to format" tab, click on the "R" and choose the field "PU HT" if that’s where you are encountering the problem
6=> Finally, on the second line, "Result type," choose K.mun.2
Click OK on everything. If necessary, copy and paste this formula into all the documents where you have problems;
I just did this with a trainer from CIEL and it worked. -
NOTHING COULD BE SIMPLER!! (she said after a week of research)
Just go to FOLDER > OPTION > PREFERENCE > CHECK ADVANCED MODE > BUSINESS MANAGEMENT > DECIMAL > QUANTITY
then enter the number of 0s you want after the decimal point. -
Good evening,
I’ve been working on CIEL GC for several years and it’s a nightmare! Multibug!
Which version do you have? -

Hello,
Sorry for the delay!
I FINALLY understood!!!
It's at the creation of the company that the choice of the number of decimals is made, and once the company is created, you can't change it!
Advice::
backup
create a new company (advanced mode for choosing decimals)
restore by overwriting
that should work
give me the result ;-)-
Hello,
I have the same problem, I created a new company, I saved and restored, but the issue is that it also restores the old settings. Yet I clearly specified that I only want to recover the files, without the preferences.
Help if someone knows the solution
Thank you very much- I don't know if you got your answer, but in any case, it could still help others too!
How to work around the bug:
Go to Configurable States
In all your states containing the quantity field (invoices, delivery notes, orders....) double-click on the Quantity column to access the linked script (state by state of course :-))
In the script, you need to replace [Qty] with Ent([Qty])
which will have the effect of keeping only the integer value of the entered number, i.e., the number without decimals.
It worked for me!
For your information, I found this solution by snooping around in the advanced functions of script management directly from the states (mathematical functions)
There you go, good luck.

Hello,
I applied Solvi's solution to remove the decimals in Ciels, but as Fred said, it shows Ent(84,000).
The solution is as follows:
In the parameterizable reports, go to the Quantity fields to modify.
At the bottom, uncheck "Simple script".
A menu will appear regarding a possible incompatibility of the formula.
Select convert or clear.
In the [Qty] field, insert function. Choose the category "Math" then Ent or Truncate.
The function must be in the form "Truncate([Qty])". You can choose the number of decimals to truncate. By default, there will be no decimals if you do not enter anything.
I didn't choose Ent because otherwise, negative quantities (discounts or reductions) end up positive and the reduction effect doesn't work.
I hope you succeed in removing the decimals in Ciel.
Good luck. André-
Hello André,
I tried to do the operation you mentioned but without success, I can't find the "quantity to modify" field. I don't know if it's simply a version issue, I have version 17.0
Could you please contact me directly at my email (marion.pla@voila.fr) to help me? Thank you in advance for your help. -

Hello
I have a bit of the same problem (V15.1) but I need to add decimal places to weight and quantities, not only in customer documents but also in the articles, especially in the bill of materials.
I already tried creating a new company and restoring without choosing the preferences from the old one, but it still only shows 2 decimal places and I want 4!
If anyone has a great solution, it would be very welcome!!
Thank you -
Hello
I have the same problem and no solution to date.
I am on Evolution 9.1 network
I need to set quantities and weights to 4 decimals
- Creation of a new company and setting decimals to 4 - OK
- Opening the new company before restoration - the decimals are OK, well preserved at 4
- Restoration in advanced mode without importing preferences from my old backup ZIP
- It reinjects the data from the old folder anyway and sets '2 decimals'
