Hello,
I would like to know how to change the date of the current fiscal year, which is incorrect due to a typing error during the creation of the file.
When I go to "file" ::: "Settings" ::: "Accounting", there is a table containing dates, including the end date of the first fiscal year that I cannot modify...
Do you know how to proceed?
Thank you.

Thank you for the response, but the post you showed me is not quite suitable.
Indeed, I have the latest version of Ciel Compta.
Thank you for getting back to me as soon as possible.

I never found a solution.
The only possible trick, but for 2011, was to close 2010 on 12/31 to restart on 1/1/2011.

CHANGE THE DATES OF A FILE
you make a copy of the folder, starting from the last exercise
you modify the date of this new folder to give it the name of the new exercise
you open this folder
you go to interrogation,
you go into deletion mode
you restrict the dates of the account, by limiting start and end to the previous exercise
you hit enter,
you check: all the entries displayed concern the entries to be deleted
you select - all - the said entries
you hit delete
you move to the next account, you do the same
once you have canceled all the entries of the previous exercise for all accounts
you go to settings, you modify the end date of the exercise
you should be able to change the start date of the exercise,
the other date parameters must be modified in such a way as to allow you to change the start date of the activity and the end date of the exercise...

I just looked and no, there is nothing regarding the change of the fiscal year-end date.
Moreover, the PDF only contains the table of contents.
Thank you again for your response.
But I am still desperately searching for a solution!

no, but the thing is I don't work with this software, which means my knowledge is almost zero, so you continue the research
*- you can also send a message on the consepteurt website and the technical service will give you a response, God willing

Has anyone found a solution to change the dates of the current financial year?
I have version 15 and when reopening, Ciel forced me to use the date of 02/11/2010, which was the closing date of the previous financial year, retained to account for the journal entries made on 02/10/2010.
It's strange that we can't go back to 01/01/2010; it was possible in previous versions anyway.
Thanks to anyone who might have the key.

I have the same problem as you, have you found a solution? I would like to change the reporting period but I can't do it. Thank you for helping me and responding to me.
In my opinion, there are only two solutions:
- either the one indicated by cpme: create a new folder and export the entries already recorded for the current financial year
- or take up the closing of the previous financial year with the date of 31/12/09 and then re-enter the entries or export them (I don't know how to do that!).
Best regards

Hello
Same problem, but you need to dig a little. The input ranges go from the first day of fiscal year N to the last day of fiscal year N+1, which is 2 years.
So when you start fiscal year N+2, you are out of the input ranges.
You need to close fiscal year N, go to "processings," and validate the entries for fiscal year N. You can purge the entries or not.
Go to File*Settings*Company*Fiscal Years
The current fiscal year can be changed to N+1, thereby extending the input ranges by one year.

To close an exercise, you need to validate the entries of that exercise. In the top bar, click on "processing" then "entry validation," and make a backup beforehand; it may be useful in case of an error.
Then again click on "processing" and "year-end," and decide whether to purge the entries or not.

Hello.
I encountered this problem after entering 2-3 entries with Ciel Compta 2014. I hadn't noticed that Ciel had set today's date as the start date.
Solution: after deleting these entries (so Ciel is empty), you can change the start date.
Happy accounting!

I think it's a commercial ploy by Ciel Compta. I called them, but they prefer that I pay or log into ciel.com. It's a computer that answers you and it never understands the question you're interested in; it says "I am in training." Would you like a sales representative to contact you?
As I explained to you earlier, Ciel Compta Facile can only create one file, which can be duplicated. Can you provide me with the procedure to export the data?
Thank you in advance for your support.

With Ciel Compta Facile, you are allowed to create only one folder; what can be done in this case to change the fiscal year date?
I had the same problem as you. I created a new folder as advised by Matisse.
In the old folder, I exported the entries to my desktop by selecting "DIVERS"; "Imports/Exports"; "Other exports"; "Exports ciel".
Then I opened my new folder with the correct closing dates, clicked on "Diverse"; "Imports/Exports"; "Other Imports"; "Ciel entries" and selected my file from the desktop.
Transfer successful. The only issue is that the entries are renumbered. But that's just a detail.
However, I don't have a solution for "Ciel Compta Facile". Sorry.
Good luck to everyone. And keep up the mutual support; it's the best way not to get ripped off by those big companies that take us for pigeons.
Ciel was asking me for €69 excluding VAT for 1 day of help!!!
Thank you very much again
