Hello everyone,
I'm turning to you because I have a problem. I own an Alienware X51 with a 64-bit Windows 7 operating system. After adding an SSD and installing the operating system on it, the next day my PC wouldn't start: at boot, a message appears, "internal hard disk drive not found. To resolve this, try to reset the drive.
No bootable devices--strike F1 to retry boot, F2 for setup utility
Press F5 to run onboard diagnostics."
I specify that the hard drive is recognized in the BIOS.
Here are the actions I have taken in hopes of resolving the issue, but nothing has changed:
- disconnected/reconnected the hard drive
- changed the hard drive
- changed the SATA slot/SATA cable
- disconnected/reconnected the motherboard battery
Additionally, I am unable to boot from DVD/USB even though the boot sequence recognizes these devices.
I hope that one of you can help me; I really don't know what to do anymore... thank you.

Hello,
Try to check the boot priority of your system.
This is set in the BIOS settings.
It will be something like "First Boot: CDROM" "Second Boot: HardDrive" ...
--
I have nothing to put as a signature!

Thank you for your very quick responses, my current Boot sequence is:
1-CD/DVD
2-Hard disk
3-USB hard disk
Only my SSD is connected, it is currently formatted (formatted from another computer with Gparted in ntfs) but even with that I can't perform a system reinstallation, the installation DVD won't start.
