Wireless weather station assistance

Solved

HELLO EVERYONE, ACTUALLY I DON'T KNOW WHICH CATEGORY TO CLASSIFY MY REQUEST IN THE FORUM. I DON'T SEE WHICH SECTION THE WEATHER STATION CAN FIT INTO. I JUST BOUGHT A WEATHER STATION FROM THE BRAND TFA DOSTMANN REFERENCE 7860BB.
I HAVE UNDERSTOOD THE OVERALL FUNCTIONING BUT ONE POINT DOES NOT WORK OR RATHER IT DOES, BUT IN AN ANOMALOUS WAY.
I HAVE PUT THE BATTERIES IN THE OUTDOOR SENSOR AND I HAVE PROGAMMED THE °C AND NOT F. THE ONLY CONCERN IS THAT ON THE FRAME IN THE HOUSE, I HAVE THE INDOOR TEMPERATURE AND WEATHER QUALITY DISPLAYED, BUT FOR THE OUTDOOR TEMPERATURE AND HUMIDITY, THIS PART IS DISPLAYED WITH 3 DIFFERENT CHANNELS AND IT DOES NOT STAY FIXED UNLIKE THE INDOOR TEMPERATURE PART.

CAN ANYONE TELL ME HOW I CAN HAVE ONLY 1 CHANNEL FIXED PERMANENTLY FOR THE INFORMATION COMING FROM OUTSIDE REGARDING THE TEMPERATURE.

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR HELP AND MERRY CHRISTMAS "NOT ALONE" IF POSSIBLE. THANK YOU MONIQUE

poupougne 13 - I just did the check by opening the external transmitter: I set the pin that was on 1 to 2 or 3 while also pressing the on/off button, I even took the batteries out and put them back in, and nothing has changed,
I still have the display on the weather frame switching from channel 1 to 2 then to 3 without stopping.
So, of course the temperature is displayed on channel 1 but it doesn't stay fixed,
I have to come to terms with it.
Thank you and happy holidays
Monique

Hello, Grandma....! ;)
In principle, when choosing the external channel, by pressing the appropriate button, you should have the sequence sensor1, sensor2, sensor3 and then the icon should have a small arrow, which indicates that in this position, the central unit is continuously scanning the sensors... press the button again to have ONLY sensor1 or... sensor2..... but WITHOUT the arrow...

Best regards,
See you later

Do you find the photo of the indoor receiver?

So next to my nickname, there is an envelope but it doesn't open, so that means the system isn’t ready yet?

Thank you Poupougne13 for this response, except that... there is no arrow or channel selection, the external transmitter does have a small tab that can be moved to 1, 2, or 3, which I assume correspond to the number of possible transmitters, but this tab is to the left of the numbering, so I don't see what else to do. Thank you anyway, I will still try to reopen this little box and see what happens if I move this button.

Thanks again, and if I succeed, I will come back to the site to share it.

This setting should be called "channel" but it should be on the receiver >INTERIOR, probably on the back....
Can you put the link so I can see it online?

The setting I'm talking about must be on the receiver, the one that is INSIDE the house....! Can you put a photo of the front and back of the indoor receiver, or give me a link?

When you are on the page of your equipment, you right-click to copy the line, and then you right-click to paste it into your text here...

http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/31KyVBe-CwL.jpg

I copied/pasted the images that are indeed those of my frame with the small receiver and the frame with the photos scrolling in the right corner and the rest of the frame for the weather (we can also only display the weather in full frame)
but I can't manage to paste them.

I didn't buy it on Amazon, but it is indeed the one shown on Amazon.
I hope this will help you understand where I'm stuck instead of unlocking it.
Thank you again Grandma shop

But that's the transmitter, the one we put outside... I'm talking about tuning the channel on the other part of the set, the one that stays inside... the receiver.

I suppose this is the one, but I can't see the back!!!
Could you take a picture of it for me if the settings are on the back, obviously?!

There, it's clearer, but still only the front!

As I mentioned in our initial contacts, there is nothing behind it, it’s just on the top and there are only the buttons I mentioned.

I do have the manual in all languages in my files where you can see the diagram from above, but it’s a pdf and I tried to copy and paste it but I couldn't do it;

NOW I WOULD BE HAPPY TO TAKE A PHOTO but first I need to know how to send it, I know how to do it with attachments in an email just like the pdf that I would know how to send by email but I would need your email address.

I think I will stop bothering you, you probably have more interesting things to do!
I’m waiting to know what you think about this.

I don't mind, except that I would like us to get there, it should be quite simple...
Sign up as a member, then you can let me know and I will send you a private message with my email address to send me the manual...
I think one of the buttons, probably the "on/off" button, should take you into the menu, I don’t think it’s for turning on the device itself... if it's what I think, then you just need to navigate through the menu with the arrows until you reach the reception channel settings...
Let me know...
Talk later

Well, here it is, in principle I'm registered, I even managed to upload a photo! Quite rare to be noted since I'm always the one taking pictures and I'm never in them, of course, this was from my first granddaughter's wedding in June.

Anyway, let me know if you see me as a member.

I don't know if the message saying that I "certainly" didn't see the email address next to my username was received, anyway, I see that the format of the correspondence has changed so I can follow your instructions.

No, that's WHEN you will have a message..but you will be able to send one when you have a button "write him a message" by going to >MY profile...

if in addition to not being good at computers, I become blind, that's the last straw... I've looked everywhere, I can't find anywhere written "my profile", on the other hand I don't know where I saw "write him a message" but I must have used it to write to you and suggest that we use "tu"

Yes, that's fine, I just replied to you...

In terms of choosing serious weather stations, it is better to stick with recognized brands like Oregon Scientific WMR200 or WMR300, or Davis Vantage Instruments, models Vue or Pro2. Prices range from €290 to €650 depending on the features, the store, and whether there are promotions or not...

Re...
I have the task of rereading everything: when the display changes between 1, 2, and 3, does the temperature change too or not... because since you only have ONE external sensor, it should display 15°, nothing, nothing, 15°....
It is possible that it only works this way...?!

For all issues regarding non-reception, data losses between sensors-probes and the console at 433 or 868 MHz antenna frequency, which are too far apart, you can also consult the Infoclimat forum. Solutions to improve range can be found through modifications (such as SMA connector for omni or directive Yagi or quad antenna cables, externally relocated) and this can be found in the "instrumentation" index

as mentioned, it is better to choose reputable stations such as Davis VP, Oregon Wmr300 or 200, La Crosse, TFA,...
