Normally, a USB port is available on the Neuf Box to connect a printer. Then you need to connect to the Neuf Box at the address 192.168.1.1 and go to the applications menu. Next, click on printer sharing and enable sharing. On the PCs, the printer will be available at the address 192.168.1.1 port TCP 9001.

If you want to install your printer on your neufbox, just:
1) plug your printer's USB cable into the USB port of your neufbox
2) go to "start," "control panel," and "devices and printers"
3) then click on add a printer
4) then it's preferable that your printer is set to local
5) after that, if you have Windows 7, create a new port and select standard TCP/IP port as the port type
6) the port name is: 192.168.1.1
7) after it has searched, choose the brand of your printer
8) after that, I can't tell you more-

If you only have one printer at home, which is generally sufficient, and several PCs
the advantage of connecting the printer to the Neufbox is that if you have several PCs at home, you can print from whichever PC you want without the constraint of having to turn on the PC that would share the printer if that were the case! This provides flexibility in using the home printer with multiple PCs!
The downside is that you cannot control the prints made by the children; in that case, it is better to connect the printer to your PC and share it on the network, which forces the children to ask you to turn on your PC to print, thus allowing you to check what they are going to print.
It's a choice to make based on your home's configuration. -

First of all, it should be noted that the Neufbox 4 does not recognize all printers, so to start, you need to check if your printer is compatible:
1. Connect your printer to the Neufbox 4
2. Go here: http://192.168.1.1 and click on the Applications tab
3. If there is a green light next to printer sharing, it means your printer is recognized by the Neufbox. If the light is red, you need to wait for an upcoming firmware update, which should normally resolve issues with unrecognized printers:
If your printer is recognized, you can proceed. I recommend installing the printer on each PC before starting the operations.
4. Go to "Control Panel," then "Printers and Faxes"
5. Click on "Add a printer"
6. Click on "A local printer connected to this computer" and uncheck "Automatically detect and install my Plug and Play printer"
7. Next, click on "Create a new port," then choose "HP Standard TCP/IP Port" from the list, and click Next
8. You must now enter in the field "Printer name or IP address": 192.168.1.1. Normally, the generated port name is "IP_192.168.1.1"
9. Select "Standard" in the "Device type" area and choose your printer.
If your printer does not appear in this list, then choose "Generic Network Card"
10. Now you will reach the printer selection list in the Add Printer Wizard.
11. Select your printer then Next
12. Then, select "Keep existing driver" (only if you have already installed the printer on the PC, as I recommended)
13. To finish, you will need to choose a name for this printer, and if you wish, you can set it as default, then Next
14. Check "Do not share this printer," and click Next, and there you can, if you wish, print a test page.
15. And there you go, you have finished installing your printer thanks to the Neufbox 4! If you want to add it to multiple PCs, restart from step 4 on each PC.

Hello,
I still have the same problem with my Stylus D92. In fact, it works very well when I connect it to the 9box like before (plugged into the desktop PC). Except that I no longer see the ink cartridge levels in the print progress panel.
I want to let you know that I did your procedure, but I don't need to do it because my machine works perfectly as soon as I connect it to the 9box.
If you have any help to give me, I'm interested.
Thank you in advance. -
I just succeeded with a Canon MP550 Series Printer.
The port name is 192.168.1.1_1 (I don't know if this is related to USB port 1 of the 9 Box, but it seemed to set up automatically)
Then I selected "Generic Network Card"
And then I selected my printer "Canon" and then "Canon MP550 Series Printer," which was all the way at the bottom of the list because I had taken care to install it locally on a USB port of the PC beforehand.
Now I'm going to tackle my XP PC; this will be more tricky. -

Hello and thank you very much, the post is two years old but still just as effective!! Thanks a lot! My gear: old IBM PC running XP + Neufbox + Brother MFC 240 C printer, and I’m thinking of repeating the process for an HP LaserJet 1300n;... now that my printer is connected to the box, I’m going to try to connect my Samsung Galaxy Tab, and that’s not going to be easy!

Hello everyone,
I've been following all your advice, but it's impossible to get my G55 to work when connected to the USB of the box. The IP address is correct, sharing is okay, but nothing works
the printer works well directly, but NOTHING from the box.
I called SFR's technical support, and they weren't very helpful.
Do you have any advice or leads? -
Hello everyone,
I have a problem with the installation of my printer on my Neufbox.
I followed the tutorial on the site www.justneuf.com and it worked perfectly for my PC on Windows 7.
However, for my PC on XP, I'm struggling:
At the step where the list of printers appears, mine (hp psc 1350) doesn't show up (unlike the other PC). So I clicked on "windows update" but nothing more (even fewer printers strangely), I searched through my boxes and found the installation CD but even putting the CD in and clicking on "provided disc" nothing happens.
I've looked on the forums, but nobody mentions this problem, so,
HELP ME PLEASE ;-) -
Hello,
I have a NeufBox, the latest model, nb4, and no printer socket.
I think you would benefit from asking your question on this forum https://www.justneuf.com/
Since (almost) everyone who participates there is subscribed to Neuf, you'll certainly have a better chance of getting an answer than here.
Best. -
Hi, I think you should go to the configuration interface of the neuf box and you will find what you need.

Good evening,
I am experiencing the same problem on Windows 7 with an HP G55.
The configuration works, the IP address is fine, but no printing!
Your opinions and advice are welcome. -
Hello everyone,
First of all, I wish you all a happy new year 2011.
I'm posting a message on this thread because my situation has evolved. Indeed, I bought a laptop (I still have the desktop PC). I have connected my Epson Stylus D92 printer to start printing from my laptop without having to open the desktop PC. Everything is working well. Since my printer is already installed on the desktop PC, I didn't need to reinstall it, just plug it into the USB port of the 9box. The little light turned green (as stated by sam49). I was able to start printing, but I have a small issue that is not serious but annoying. When starting a print job, the progress panel appears but the ink level of each cartridge is displayed in gray on this panel. However, since I plugged the machine into the 9box, these levels are grayed out.
What is the problem? Please note that if I plug it back into the desktop PC, everything works perfectly.
Thank you for your advice.

Hello everyone,
I just managed to connect my Epson Stylus D92 to the USB port of the Neufbox. At first, it didn't print anything. But after reading several forums, including the one from CCM, I noticed that many talked about the port number. It was set to 9001 and I changed it to 9100. And since then, it's been working well.
However, I still have the ink level disabled.
How can I resolve this small inconvenience if possible?
Thank you.
Fabien.
