Hello everyone,
I just bought an HP Photosmart 6510 wifi printer that, according to the seller, had an ethernet connection, and when unpacking it, surprise: no ethernet port, just a USB_B port.
I don't have Wifi where it is installed, just an ethernet network. Is it possible to connect it to my network by plugging a male USB_B/female USB_B adapter into the USB port and then a male USB_A/female Ethernet adapter? Will it be recognized as a network printer?
If that is not possible, how can I connect it to the network?
Thank you in advance for your responses!
Romain
Configuration: Windows 7 / Chrome 22.0.1229.79

Hello,
If you have properly opened the printer, you can still go yell at the store where you bought it (with the receipt) and ask for an exchange or a credit note because the seller misinformed you.
Otherwise, if you still want to keep the printer under Windows 7, you have the option to share your printer on your local network, but the PC connected to the printer will have to be turned on all the time to access your printer.
I didn't take the time to read it all the way through, but this tutorial seems right to me; take a look: https://protuts.net/partager-une-imprimante-sur-votre-reseau-windows-seven/
