Thank you

If you can't do it with just your device
    with the user manual
Toshiba DVR-80KF: DVD + VHS Combo Recorder

    DVD/VHS Combo
To save space, simplify connections and use.
To enjoy unparalleled quality without giving up old VHS tapes.
It is also possible to copy a DVD to a cassette but especially to burn a cassette onto a DVD.

to transfer the content of an analog VHS cassette, VHS/C, 8mm, Hi8 or any analog video stream you must connect the camcorder or the VCR or another device to an external \"box\" that handles the hardware conversion of the analog stream into digital, and we connect the box to the computer by a USB cable the file is converted to MPEG-2 an easy-to-burn format compatible with all players and with the possibility of editing with a \"studio\"
Connect the box and camcorder or VCR with a s/VHS or composite (yellow RCA) link and a cable for audio (2 red, white RCA). For the VCR you need a SCART connection with an adapter or a cord with the direction \"out\" or with an in-out reverse, s/VHS output or composite RCA yellow (less good) plus the audio, two red/white RCA outputs
remember to select Pal to get color
I recommend the Dazzle box be either \"recorder\" DVD only or video HD Creator, see Platinum depending on your need if you want to \"edit\" your films with titles and music
the price of the advanced editing software STUDIO 14 HD (value alone 61 €) provided with this box in the \"creator\" and \"platinum\" version makes the product interesting
it is also available used on the web and can be resold when you no longer need it
there are exotic products like USB key and 4 cables, cheaper but be wary it's often a source of trouble, reading posts from desperate members on the forum

remember to set your message to \"solved\" if that is the case

You go to "general settings" then to "recording" and duplication and there you select "VCR DVD"
to navigate the menu and sub-menu it is with the remote control and the "setup" and "enter/ok" keys
then you put the cassette in you press "play and pause"
then on the DVD part you must of course select your recording mode (XP or SP or LP)
then you start the copy via the remote control's "dubbing" button
    there you go
