Use 4-wire phone cable as network cable

Hello,
I am in an old house. Next to my box, there's a 4-wire telephone cable that serves no purpose (the wires are exposed). The wires: red, yellow, white, and blue.
The Wi-Fi doesn’t reach my office, but this cable does, under the floor (it connects to a standard telephone jack).
My idea is to use this cable as a network cable.
Is this possible? For example, can we plug a female T-junction into it, where I could connect a male connector on one side, and an RJ11 on the other, going to a router connected to the box (and at the other end of the cable: a T-junction / RJ11 into the computer)?
If so, what are the connections to be made?
Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi,
it's possible with 2 pairs on a cat3 cable like you have, but you'll have to limit the network card speed to 10Mbits/s yourself.
The first difficulty will be identifying the pairs in the cable; this type of cable is not standardized, and the pairing should be checked at the time of wiring.
Secondly, you need RJ45 connectors; forget about T-connectors, which cannot be used for ethernet 10baseT.
In the end, try to run a real cat5 or 5e cable instead.
For the wiring, it's one pair in 1/2 and the other in 3/6 of the RJ45.
