MSI Fn Key Solved

Question

Hello,

I currently have an MSi CR70 laptop, and I'm having an issue with the Fn key. It works for increasing the volume (Fn + right arrow), decreasing it, changing the brightness... But it doesn't work when I press Fn + F6 for the camera or Fn + F4 to open the P1 program.

Additionally, when I increase the volume using the Fn key, no icon appears on the screen, and the same goes for all other actions involving this key.

What solutions do you suggest for these shortcuts that aren't working and for the icons that aren't appearing?

Hi, you probably disabled or uninstalled the MSi program that displays the volume bar or manages these shortcuts. Try to reactivate it if you disabled it (via msconfig) or reinstall it if necessary ;)

Thank you for your response, but how can I reinstall this program? Also, msconfig is not installed on my computer; should I download it directly from the internet?

To re-download it, I suggest you go to your manufacturer's website (in this case, MSI) and select the one that seems most appropriate based on the name.
As for msconfig, you don't need to install it, it's a Windows utility that you can open as follows: (Windows key) + R => "msconfig" => [OK]
Then, go to the Startup tab and check that you have enabled it.

Thank you nael1 for your advice and solutions.
I found the solution by downloading the "s-bar-" which was not installed.
I had already tried to download it, but it crashed every time I booted up. So I tried on several other sites.
The s-bar has therefore solved all the problems I had on my computer, including those with the icons and the Fn key.
