MSI Pro Carbon Z390 Motherboard WiFi Issues

Hello,
I recently built a PC at LDLC with the following specifications:
- Pro Carbon Z390 AC motherboard (an Intel AC9560 wifi chip would be integrated into this board)
- Intel 9900 K processor
- Gskill 2X16 GB DDR4 4000 Mhz RAM
- Nvidia MSI Rtx 2080 TI
- Corsair H75 Water Cooling
Motherboard drivers are up to date, retrieved today from the MSI website.
The problem is that I am unable to connect to my FreeBox, which is just one floor below (the wifi signal picked up by the wifi card seems too weak at 88 dbm) while all my other devices on that floor have a good wifi reception.
I tried to create a wifi connection next to my PC (50 cm away) by sharing a connection with my phone, and I get a signal of 68 dbm and can still connect.
Can you help me understand this weak reception (mounting issue? Antenna issue? etc.)?

Hello,
This motherboard is an MSI Z390-AC https://fr.msi.com/Motherboard/MPG-Z390-GAMING-PRO-CARBON/Specification it indeed has an internet connection via the RJ45 network cable and also a Wifi+Bluetooth for the AC version cards...
In my humble opinion, you should first test and get your PC working via the wired RJ45 connection, and when that works, you can test the Wifi... Note that there are two RMA sockets for antennas on the back and you need to make sure those antennas are properly installed; and clear them so they can receive well...
From what you mentioned, it seems to be a problem of distance or obstacles in the signal path... especially with a floor and concrete slab in between.... and if you want to play games, Wifi is not the most efficient choice.
Additionally, there are two frequencies for Wifi channels... 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz... the 5 is faster but has a shorter range than the 2.4 which covers a longer distance while being slower... you need to choose...
If you are in a building or a subdivision, you might be affected by other Wifi signals...
What is the version of your FreeBox..?
There you go, a good number of indications.. it's up to you now.
