My printer has disappeared from my PC! There’s no trace of it in the "Printers and Faxes" folder. I click on the "Add a printer" button and my dear PC responds: "Cannot complete this operation. The spooler is not working." So I go to the control panel and open the "Administrative Tools" then "Services." I indeed see that the spooler service is stopped. I start it, exit the service, and try to restart the printer installation hoping to fix the malfunction. The problem remains the same message.
While browsing a forum on this topic, I attempted to solve the issue by following the instructions provided to several users who had the same problem: several points do not match. For example, I do not have the files mentioned in the folder "C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool."
Thanks for giving me some good tips to get out of this deadlock!
PS: my printer is a CANON PIXMA IP5000

no need to reinstall
start/control panel
administrative tools / services
in the services you find the spooler service and start it
if it's because of the spooler then that's the solution to your problem

The restart works, but as soon as I try to print, the problem comes back immediately. I have done the same procedure several times; the spooler restarts but stops as soon as I try to print.
