Hello,
I have a new PC running Windows 8.
I installed the drivers for my camera, but when I plug it in, nothing happens. It is set to start automatically when connected to the PC.
When I put it on charge from the wall socket, nothing happens either.
The camera is a Samsung ES80.
What should I do?
Thank you in advance
Configuration: Windows 8 / Firefox 18.0

Yes, it was working on my desktop, I just tried again and it’s not working anymore either.
I tried resetting the camera but nothing special happens.
The camera works very well!

Yes, there is a memory card.
I will try to plug it into the PC.

Well, if you live near your point of sale, go there, explain to them, and have them try it on their computer. Otherwise, have them give you a new one :).
Well, yes, I don't see what else I could do, but as for the idea of giving me a new one, I have my doubts... ^^
Could you try another USB cable?
There are settings on the device for... Several transfer modes maybe!?

Did you try and succeed?

Good evening, I have installed the drivers it is very possible that your driver or drive is not recognized by Windows 8, which is why your camera is not being detected; you need to update your driver, check with Samsung!
Yes, you can find it, just search for "samsung ES80 USB data cable" on Google or other sites
For example > https://www.subtel.fr/Samsung-AD39-00147A-C-ble-data-pour-Samsung-Appareils-photo-101356.html

OK, I'll take a look at that, thank you very much.
I would prefer a Belgian site to place an order (I am Belgian...).
I will mark the post as resolved once I have found that, then ;-)
Thanks again!!!

The update is done so the software is brand new.
I don't have another cable to connect my camera to my PC, but other devices like USB keys, etc. are recognized by the PC.
And when I plug it into the power to charge it, it doesn't charge either.
As for the transfer mode, it's set to automatic; I tested it on "computer" but nothing happened either!!
The worst part is that it worked two weeks ago (not on my Windows 8 PC, this is the first time I'm testing it on there).
I just uninstalled the drivers and tried to reconnect the camera, but still nothing...

Is there a memory card in the device? If so, and if the photos are on it, you can try directly from it!?
That doesn't solve the problem but it circumvents it for the time being!
