Hello,
My laptop (Asus) does not detect my phone (Samsung Galaxy Ace) when I connect it via USB cable. I don't get any messages and I can't find my phone anywhere. However, it is still charging. This is very annoying because I cannot transfer music/videos/photos between my computer and my phone. Please help me!

You need to change the connection cable: some are only for power.

Check that the driver is properly installed by reinstalling Samsung Kies.

    Enable USB storage:
    • 2.3 (Gingerbread) notification bar / “Connect via USB” / “Enable USB storage”
    • 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) Settings / Device / Storage / USB connection to computer / “MTP”
    • Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean): Notification bar / Connect via USB / Enable USB storage
    • Android 5.0 / 5.1 (Lollipop): Notification bar / USB connection to computer / Media device (MTP)
    • Android 6.0 (Marshmallow): Notification bar / USB connection to computer / Media device (MTP)
