PDF export anomaly Solved

Question

Hello,
I have been working on InDesign CS6 for about a year and generally everything goes smoothly; however, I regularly encounter issues when exporting my file to PDF, specifically when using the "PDF Presets"/High Quality setting. The export gets stuck in the background task at 18% while my INDD file is only 2.58MB. I am willing to send you my file so you can see for yourself. (However, please explain how to send it to you.)

Bee for vectorizing, nothing could be easier...

Text tool, select the text to be vectorized, go to the "text" menu and choose vectorize... It will then appear with a blue outline

Text vectorization with the transparency flattening profile only works if there is transparency on the page (and it only applies to the page where there is transparency and only to that one).

If the font is the problem, exporting to PDF is likely to crash before applying the vectorization.

Maybe you've used too much transparency and that flattening takes a lot of time and memory resources....

Other possible blockages may be due to corrupted fonts or images.

Indesign is a desktop publishing software designed for assembling different elements. What you see on the screen are previews; the imported images and objects are not included in the file....

That's why I can create a PDF (low resolution) with just the preview images, and since I don't have the problematic font, the file is created without issues... (although it's not great in terms of quality!)

There is no concept of "layers" like in Photoshop. In Photoshop, layers are separate images. 2 layers = 2 images stacked on top of each other. In Indesign, you should think of it as "working planes"... a bit like "foreground / background" ... you can even reverse or change the order of the planes in the layers palette.

Regarding color differences, you have mixed RGB and CMYK quite freely.. It's important to keep the same color space and create the color in the swatches either in RGB or CMYK... There are various schools of thought on this.. personally, I prefer to have everything in CMYK.. but some prefer to stay in RGB and convert at the end.. This requires greater rigor in the way of working... otherwise, as in your file, there are differences! But it's difficult to judge on screen.. The preview does not replace printing.
