Hello,
I have been working on InDesign CS6 for about a year and generally everything goes smoothly; however, I regularly encounter issues when exporting my file to PDF, specifically when using the "PDF Presets"/High Quality setting. The export gets stuck in the background task at 18% while my INDD file is only 2.58MB. I am willing to send you my file so you can see for yourself. (However, please explain how to send it to you.)
Thank you in advance...
Configuration: Windows XP / Chrome 23.0.1271.97
Take each day as it comes...

Bee for vectorizing, nothing could be easier...
Text tool, select the text to be vectorized, go to the "text" menu and choose vectorize... It will then appear with a blue outline
Text vectorization with the transparency flattening profile only works if there is transparency on the page (and it only applies to the page where there is transparency and only to that one).
If the font is the problem, exporting to PDF is likely to crash before applying the vectorization.

I’m going to take advantage of your experience and services a bit if you don’t mind; there’s something I don’t quite understand about InDesign:
On Photoshop, when we finish a creation, we have the option to flatten the layers to have just one and convert it to a PDF. How do we perform this operation on InDesign? Does it happen automatically during export? If so, why do I often have small issues during printing (like layer edges showing up that don’t blend into the colored background...) I’m not sure if I’m clear... for example, in the file in question: "Twirling Baton Limouxin" when printed shows the layer background slightly darker than the blue of the background, specifically a background created in PSD. (Recurring issues with PSD backgrounds...)
Thank you very much for your insights and once again, congratulations on the work you do on this forum!!!
Looking forward to hearing from you...
Fab
Also, I was surprised that you were able to create a PDF from my indd file without the linked images and attachments!!! How do you do that? Can we print the displayed images when we have missing links?
Sorry for all these questions!!! haha
Thank you
I had the same issue that I resolved by highlighting the text that appears with a blue outline
but .. the text has become a bit thicker considering it's not a small text, it's an entire book
