Hello,
When I want to scan or photocopy a document with my HP C3100, a one and a half centimeter black band appears along my photo; this does not appear when I print directly from the computer.
Help.
Thank you
Configuration: Windows XP / Firefox 17.0

I tried to clean my printer but I don't know how to reach this photosensor, where is it located?
Thanks to Marc for taking the time to respond, solidarity warms the heart

Hello,
either there's dust on the photocell or the photocell is about to give up the ghost! -
It's quite complex; you need to remove the scanner glass (the photocell is located under the glass), and to remove the glass, you have to disassemble the entire top of the printer, being careful not to damage the small flat cable that allows for data transmission... it's quite challenging to execute!
