How to force stop a program?

Hello,
I'm unable to close the following program: Gmail Notifier Plus
I know that the easiest solution is to reboot my laptop, but is there a simpler way?

Configuration: Windows 7 / Chrome 22.0.1229.94

    Hello,
    right-click on the taskbar (the bar at the bottom where the time is and everything) select Task Manager, then choose the Processes tab and search for your Gmail app, right-click and end the process.
