Hello,
New Mac user...and installing Canon printer...no problem on my PC, but here, I'm stuck...
When I insert the installation CD, I get an error message that directs me to the Canon "help" page...in English.
I can bypass it and the installation proceeds without issue until the computer restarts...However, I can't access the next step which should be the alignment of the print heads...Heeelp!!
And thanks in advance
Configuration: Mac OS X / Safari 536.25

Hello,
Mac OS X comes with a multitude of drivers for Canon, Epson printers, ... unless during the installation of Mac OS X, you requested not to install them.
You should specify the exact model of your printer if you want more help.

If I can believe this Apple support page, your Pixma IP4600 is very well supported by Lion and Mountain Lion:
Canon iP4600 series * 10.57.2.0 P
And as stated at the beginning of the support page:
"Apple provides third-party software for scanners and printers via Software Update. Just connect the printer or scanner to the Mac. If software is needed and available, OS X will automatically download and install it."
