Hello,
I have a problem with an Excel file. I worked on it from my Mac then saved it (not in read-only mode), and when I try to open it from my Windows laptop, it opens in read-only mode, so I can't modify it.
The file is not blocked in read-only mode because a friend to whom I sent it can open it normally on his MacBook.
What should I do so I can modify it on Windows too?
Thank you
Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 13.0.1

Hello,
I had the same problem. File in xlsx format, saved without read-only, and yet impossible to modify it in Excel. I realized that the file name contained a '/' character.
Solution: I simply renamed the file without the '/' character, keeping the .xlsx extension, and the file became editable in Excel. The devil is in the details...
Best regards,
