Good evening,
I have a problem. One of my Excel files is locked for editing, and I can only open it in read-only mode, even though I am the only user and there is no sharing.
I tried to make a copy, but it’s also in read-only mode.
I can’t delete the original file as I’ve seen on other forums because it says the file is still open, even though it isn’t. Even when I press ctrl+alt+delete, there’s nothing; everything is closed.
Do you have a solution, please?
Thank you.

Hello,
unlock it with Unlocker
(be careful not to install the toolbar that comes with it)
eric
By continuously trying, we eventually succeed.
So the more it fails, the more chances we have that it works. (the Shadoks)
In addition to saying thank you (yes yes, it happens!!!), remember to mark it as resolved. Thank you.

Thank you for your reply
It seems that this morning it unlocked itself, but now I have another problem:
When I modify and save Sheet 1, everything goes well, but if I save after modifying Sheet 2, it closes everything without saving what was on Sheet 2...
Do you know where this problem comes from? Is it related to my previous problem?
Thank you
This is what might have caused your previous problem.
If there are no macros to blame, your file may be infected.
Copy the data (not the sheets!) into a new workbook.
