Problems opening Sage

You must have turned off your computer without closing the software.
You should have alert 2501.
Start by initializing your Sage code.
- On the identification page,
- go to reset and follow the steps.
Now open the software
- Then go to file,
- utility,
- reset.
- Search for the corresponding PRH file (the PRH file is the one corresponding to the company that was open at the time of the issue; it is named companyname.prh; you can find these files where your software is installed, usually on C:, Programs, Sage Payroll, and you should find among all the files your PRH file (the purple logos with your company name).

If the maintenance gives you this message, it's less funny. Here are a few things to do before the maintenance:

- If it's a standalone setup, turn off the workstation and turn it back on
- On a network, on the physical server, go to services in the control panel, stop the Sage server service and then restart it (make sure all users are logged out)
- Check that the file is not set to "read-only" in the file properties (this happens when restoring a database from a CD)

Then carry out maintenance regardless of the situation.

For my part, I had to uncheck the "expert file opening" option in the preferences under the "Window" tab.

You need to go to File / System and sharing settings, check that the gescom and accounting files are set to multi-user access.

In your case, I wonder if the commercial and accounting file is not set to single-user.
