Hello,

Configuration: Windows XP / Internet Explorer 8.0
I have an HP Photosmart Plus B209 printer and the following message appeared:

Ink system failure 0xc19a0022

With the help of HP support, I cleaned the print head but without success.

Do I really need to replace the print head?

    Hi,

    Your print head is probably dead.
    A solution you'll find on several forums is to clean it with isopropyl alcohol.
    After trying it on 7 print heads, my success rate is 0%.

    I don’t know about your model, but for mine, the print head cost nearly the same as the printer, so it was more cost-effective to buy a new printer.

      Indeed, I have gone through all the forums regarding this problem. They all recommend cleaning the print head with isopropyl alcohol (even letting it soak all night!!??)

      I also saw the price excluding tax for a head (40 euros). My printer cost 159 euros

      Either I replace it or I buy a very basic new printer.
