Hello,
I would like to individualize (or make independent) the desktop PC and the laptops at my home. Indeed, when I delete a bookmark from my Internet (Google Chrome) from my desktop PC, the same bookmark is also deleted on my son's and my laptop. What should we do? Changing the email address is clearly not the solution I imagined?!!!
Config: Livebox Orange / WiFi / XP desktop at home / W7: son’s laptop / Vista: my laptop.

Hi
What you're saying is not possible unless you shared a common folder where your favorites would be, which I doubt
Each PC has its own independent Favorites directory
Why are you mentioning email addresses? It has nothing to do with Internet Favorites ??
You haven't accidentally installed that junk called Orange space, have you? -
My son found, in Chrome, settings to uncheck!
(key)-settings-advanced sync settings-uncheck: favorites (and others?)-ok
there it is!
we know otherwise we learn, I learn not to know!
thank you -
Thank you Kaumune,
I thought that PCs were independent, that's why I posted this question... indeed my ISP is Orange, but my email is on gmail.com and I use Google Chrome... Is there something to see in there???
Thank you -
Hi.
I don't know how Chrome works, but if what you're describing is real (I'm not doubting your words but I've never seen that), it's that Chrome stores bookmarks (could it be rather the most visited sites?) online and based on the IP. In that case, there's nothing you can do.....
I'm going to install Chrome (pffff) on 2 test machines and I'll keep you updated. -
Do you use a Google account when you use Chrome?
If so, it syncs history, bookmarks, etc........
