How to remove a workstation from a domain.

    Hello,

    on your workstation, simply go to system properties, click on the "Computer Name" tab, click on "Change," and set it to "Workgroup."
    On your domain controller, you will remove the entry for this machine.

      I would like a little clarification:

      when we remove a PC from a domain while it is connected to the domain controller's network, is it automatically removed from the lists of the controller, or do we need to do it "manually" on the controller?

      You have to be careful; you need to have the local admin account, otherwise you won't be able to log in anymore.

      I'm trying to follow these instructions but it's not working on my computer. I'm not a tech expert but I manage. However, I don't know what the "domain controller" is. How do I get there, please, in order to "remove the machine entry"?
