Unable to delete registry key

Hello,

My problem on Windows 7 (32&64 bits) is to clean up the registry for protected keys;
For example: when connecting different USB keys, the key:
- "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Enum\USBSTOR"
and all its descendants are protected. I would like to know if possible
the Windows API that allows me to change the permissions
and delete either all at once or recursively
all these keys.
