can't just do like everyone else... !

Indeed, it doesn't seem easy to find.
But have you thought about checking if it already exists on your PC? (you run a search in C:)

Yes, I've already looked, but there's nothing, this is a third round.

    Hello,

    Usually by the Delete key.
    Possibly by the F5 key.

If it's in another way, it should normally be displayed on the first page. For example: Press F3 to setup.

    Bye.

I read the PDF on the Toshiba website and it explains that a software called HWSetup is needed, but I don't know where to find it.
    Thank you in advance.

Hwsetup.exe is found in this list https://www.driverguide.com/drivers2.htm
By clicking on the title, you will reach the homepage where you will need to register (it's free) in order to download the file afterwards.

I don't know why you want to access the BIOS, but you can download the updates from this page http://fr.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_bios.jsp?servi...
It may be more comprehensive and faster than manual modifications.

I also need to access the BIOS of my 5200-904. I'm having the same issue!

Why access the BIOS? To set the USB port to maximum speed. Every time I plug in a USB device, it tells me it would work faster if I configured it for high speed.

Have you solved your issue on your end??

    Thanks in advance

    Press F1.
Otherwise, when the logo appears, press "Escape" and you will see which key.

      Thank you Med,
but I followed all the instructions found online with all the possible and imaginable keys and combinations without success. I only have access to the password definition.

For those who cannot read and search for information.

1° - See TPM Documentation. This means looking for information in the Toshiba documentation
(Trusted Platform Module - Installation Guide).

2° - In paragraph 2.1 or on page 6, there are the directives to follow.

3° - For those who do not have the documentation, here is an excerpt.

      Chapter 2.1 Activating TPM

      1. Power on your computer by pressing the ESC key.
      2. A message appears. Press the F1 key.
      3. The BIOS configuration window appears.
      4. ....

      Best regards.

And once in the BIOS, you have the option to change the date, time, and password. We're super advanced, especially when we want to access simple things like modifying the boot sequence...

The boot sequence can only be changed under Windows and only if you have a password that is not provided with the laptop....

Have fun, if someone finds that infamous password, please let me know :/

LOL! Where did you see that?

To install Windows, it is often necessary to change the boot sequence. How could we do that since Windows is not installed yet?

    Hello,

I also have a 5200-801 and my master CD 1/2 is scratched, and I would like to know if anyone could arrange to share the ghost file that is on it.

    Thank you in advance.

By pressing [F12] at startup, the icons are highlighted with a gray bar
The first icon has its underline bar orange
You can move from one icon to another with the arrows and confirm by pressing enter

Sorry, but everything that’s been said doesn’t work!

Having this type of laptop that was given to me, with a damaged XP on the HDD, no matter how hard I press enter with the DVD highlighted in orange, it refuses and insists on booting from the HDD with the damaged XP!
