USB hard drive recognition by TV

Hello,
I just bought a Panasonic TX-P46VT20E television. Normally, I can connect an HDD to a USB port. I have made several attempts. The television recognizes that there is a hard drive connected, but when I reach the formatting phase for the HDD association, I get the message: "this hard drive is not recognized." Is there a specific HDD or a particular formatting required?
Thank you in advance for your reply.

      Thank you for your response.
I tried both NTFS and FAT 32 and the result was the same. I tested it with an old HDD in an external enclosure, does that matter?

Apparently, this disk is recognized and readable on the computer, that is to say, as an external disk in a USB enclosure?
If that's the case, I just took a look at your TV and it appears that the video via USB can be toggled on/off
      Check that it is activated

But I'm not very knowledgeable about this. Especially since I read at the end that a USB hard drive formatted by a computer is not recognized, so does it have to be formatted by the TV?!!!

Last point, if the USB is 2.0, is your USB cable old, i.e., 1.0? In which case, get a new one (don't laugh, it happened to me with a hard drive enclosure)
