Hello,

I have a small problem with a computer that I'm trying to clean up.
It's running on Vista.
The issue is as follows:
When I go to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features > Uninstall a program, it shows a window saying: "Please wait for the current installation or modification of the program to finish," even though it is not in the active processes and is not being used at all. Therefore, I am unable to uninstall anything.
If you have a solution, I would be very grateful.

hi,

1) Are you running as an administrator?

2) Have you tried Revo-Uninstaller (a very good utility)
3) see the Tutorial associated

Yes, I'm on the admin account.
I just used Revo and it works great. Thank you very much.

Hi,

Did you restart your computer to do that? Otherwise, you might be infected with a virus. When you uninstall, what happens? Does it show you that message directly?

Good evening,

I restarted, but it doesn't change anything.
It displays the message as soon as I click on uninstall or modify.
I did a full scan of the computer, but there was no detection. However, the complete scan yielded a result of about 3000 files. I was surprised that there were so few, even though there is hardly anything installed on it...

I'm at a loss for words. I don't know how to help you ^^. Try to dig through the processes to see if there's one that seems off or strange. Have you tried directly deleting the installation folder?

I investigated the processes and eliminated some of them. As a result, I did a scan again and it found hundreds of thousands of files, so that problem is already resolved.
As for the installation and uninstallation issue, it still bugs, but with the Revo program, it fixed itself.
Thank you for your help.
