Voxbone? Who are they?
Solved/Closedntrece13 -
Hello,
I received several calls today from a phone number that was unfamiliar to me (numbers starting with 09 48 or 01 62 in general). After searching online, I found out that it was from VoxBone in Brussels. I don't understand how they can call me when I am with France Télécom and Orange, and I pay for the "stop secret" option, so the caller should have identified themselves.
I'm wondering who they are because I didn’t understand anything. Is there anyone who knows? I was absent, and how did they manage to bypass the "stop secret" option?
Thank you for the explanation.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

You really have to be a fool to give your banking information to just anyone. Natural selection, I suppose.
Sorry, no sympathy.
????
I'm experiencing the same problem as you.
The phone number is 01 82 88 90 60 and corresponds to VOXBONE.
What I don't understand is that I live in France and numbers starting with 01 are usually calls coming from the Paris region... how do they do it?
Moreover, I have never been able to get through to them despite receiving around twenty calls...
I received 3 strange calls today with the code 0033 as well! Except that I'm not at home here but at work, so it's a company, that's why I'm cautious.

Voxbone is actually a telephone platform that allows anyone in the world who subscribes to it to reach anyone without having to dial the prefix corresponding to the country of origin.
And Voxbone has been making huge profits since the beginning!
In other words: all the dialers (machines that automatically dial numbers) in the world can randomly call any number in the world, and if you pick up...bing, bing! You've hit the jackpot since these are premium-rate numbers that you pay for every time you answer.
Turn to 60 million consumers; eventually, they will take action.
Thank you in advance

According to our operator in Switzerland (Swisscom), this company engages in telemarketing or assists a third party using a computer that dials six numbers simultaneously. It is enough for one of the called parties to answer for the communication to be interrupted for the other five. It is unnecessary to recall, a recorded message indicates that the number is not valid. Then the machine resumes its calls until someone answers. In the span of half a day, we received six calls of this type. It is not impossible to continue this type of harassment, but it seems quite random (it all depends on national regulations).
I am in the 70 area, and I have been bothered by the same phone number several times a day for at least 2 months. (No one is on the line when I answer!!!)
Many neighbors are receiving calls from this number.
On the day I received 8 calls from this number, I was burglarized - coincidence????
It's impossible to call back, the number is not assigned!!!!!!
Please let me know if you have also been a victim of burglary (the police say there is no connection). I agree with the previous internet user, the calls are probably not so trivial, but what is the purpose????
Never give your credit card number! To anyone! Never. Especially over the phone. Even your bank will never ask you for it.
But I hope your friend pulls through.
They just sent me a text saying "your package is awaiting delivery. Customs fees are required blablabla..."

The mobile number 02 34 21 44 85 (Free mobile operator) of a Romanian individual Mr. MARTIN ANTAL (original Romanian family address "Sat Valea Seaca Nicolae Balcescu, Romania") and his French address near Angers since 08/01/2009 ZONE SAINT-AIGNAN. This individual is wanted by INTERPOL and EUROPOL for various offenses committed to his account: telephone scams, hacking, theft of personal data of others via digital means or postal addresses in France, corruption; drug trafficking; pedophilia and pimping in France and abroad. If this number calls you on your landline or mobile, please contact the competent judicial authorities as quickly as possible! This individual is on the run and may be potentially dangerous! CAUTION AND VIGILANCE ARE ADVISED!
I would also like to know where they got our numbers from..?! ????... But I firmly believe that our contact details are being sold! There's no other explanation! We receive calls from different numbers 3 to 4 times a week, and of course, no messages!! But they are blocked right away! Enough is enough!!
Know that for landlines, you can block them from your box! It works with SFR!
Good luck!
The new year marks the strengthening of measures aimed at preventing telemarketing. In this context, the French Telecom Regulatory Authority (Arcep) has implemented a numbering plan to better identify numbers corresponding to commercial calls. Here are the details.
Will 2023 mark the end of telemarketing? To combat abusive commercial calls, the government has indeed decided to intensify the fight against this phenomenon. In this context, since January 1st, the French Telecom Regulatory Authority (Arcep) has established a new numbering plan, allowing for better identification of numbers related to call centers.
Thus, according to Arcep, any number starting with 0162, 0163, 0270, 0271, 0377, 0378, 0424, 0425, 0568, 0569, 0948, and 0949 corresponds to a commercial call in metropolitan France. For overseas territories, the numbers are 09475 (Guadeloupe, Saint-Martin, Saint-Barthélemy), 09476 (Guyana), 09477 (Martinique), as well as 09478 and 09479 (Réunion, Mayotte).
The 06 and 07 numbers are prohibited
As the Regulatory Authority points out, any telemarketing beginning with numbers starting with 06 or 07 is now prohibited. The same applies to commercial calls made using any number other than those presented by Arcep.
Hello, the top secret is just that at the time of the call it has to be specified and they are supposed to hang up immediately otherwise you can sue them.
Hello, I received a message from this number indicating that I had a fine to pay. After calling the police station, I was told it was indeed a scam coming from this number. They then advised me to file a complaint and report the phone number online as well to help others.
