Hello,
I want to format my Presario CQ56 laptop running Windows 7. I was told to click F10 at startup, and when I click it, a blue screen appears and I don't know what to do next! Please help me!
Thanks in advance ^^

I don't understand, when I press F10 it says BOOTMGR is missing and CTRL + ALT + DEL to restart. Please tell me how I should proceed.
Well, the subject has probably been abandoned since June, but here I am in this situation! So if we could bring this topic back up...
So in the BIOS, it's written everything we want, except formatting :(

The BIOS has nothing to do with formatting and vice versa. Don't touch it at all.
Now, if you explain your problem, maybe we can help you.
See you!

When I insert my Windows 7 CD, it says loading... it's loading the primary Windows files... once that's done, I get a blue screen with notifications that appear... and I can't move forward... I'm forced to restart and go through the same process that leads me exactly to the same place as mentioned...??
Is it possible that I can't format a Compaq compared to a normal PC? I've often formatted my computers but have never been able to with Compaq... is there a different way for other computers?

You can mark it as resolved!
What is the brand and model of your PC?
well, you press the F11 key at startup and you get a factory reset menu. You follow the on-screen instructions.
