Hello everyone
I've noticed in the "device manager" that my PC cannot find peripheral drivers for the ATA/ATAPI IDE controllers. What should I do? Is this where my problem regarding my QSI DVDRW SDW 041 burner comes from??? Because it shows up in the device manager, it states that it is working correctly, but when it comes to burning my DVD+RWs, the burning is successful but the DVD is blank! Moreover, my burner doesn't even appear in "My Computer"!!!???? I went into the BIOS, and I don't know what I should set for "Internal HDD"??? [AUTO] - [USER] - [CD/DVD] - [NONE] I'm totally confused!!!!
It was set to [AUTO] with the following characteristics:
- Maximum Capacity: 40008MB
I changed it to [USER] with the following characteristics:
- Multi-Sector Transfers: [16 sectors]
- LBA Mode Control: [Enabled]
- 32 Bit I/O: [Enabled]
- Transfer Mode: [Standard]
- Ultra DMA Mode: Mode 1
After changing the settings and validating them by pressing F10, I no longer remember which ones were correct!!!! I'm completely lost, can someone help me????!!!!! Thank you so much ...

In the BIOS, there is a key to press to restore the default settings (you should see "load defaults...").
Then, the internal HDD refers to your hard drive and not your burner, so set the internal HDD to auto.
For your burner, if there is no yellow icon next to the hardware in the device manager, it means there is no hardware issue.
The problem likely comes from the burning software; either your burner is not recognized or you are making a mistake during the burning process.
