Driver issue (Serial ATA Controller)

Solved/Closed

Hello, a few months ago, I reformatted my PC. I managed to reinstall all my drivers, albeit with some difficulty, except for one, the SATA controller, which seems to be hindering my PC. It is nowhere to be found (http://imageshack.com/f/0zatasriep). Since my reformatting, I've experienced a few BSODs, but I'm not sure if there's a connection.
My question would be, do you know the appropriate driver for this device?
Additionally, this issue puts my PC in a "needs repair" state (http://imageshack.com/f/04etatpcp

Thank you, CamTryus.

    Hello,

In Device Manager, right-click on "SATA Controller" > Properties > Details.

In the dropdown menu, select: "Hardware IDs"

Post the information (string of numbers and letters).

Copy only the first line, that is sufficient.

    Sure.

Can you give me the exact model of your Alienware and the version of your Windows?

It seems to me that I have already downloaded this driver. Even by clicking on "update driver" and "search for the driver on my computer," it says it is not found. When running the driver, I must have clicked "Yes to all," so I already had it.

    Hello,

Unzip the driver and install it manually:
    Go to the device manager
Right-click on the device in question
    Update driver
Install from a list or specified location
    Do not search
    Have disk
    Browse
Go to the unzipped driver folder
    Select the file --> si3132.inf
    Restart.

You can extract the file "Silicon-Integrated-Systems_S_A02_R235001.exe" with WinRar or 7-Zip.

Yes, it's more convenient with WinRar!
