ATA/ATAPI IDE Controllers

Hello,

so I have a little problem (I really suck at computers :/) and I’ve looked up information online but it hasn’t really helped me much... Actually, I ran a scan with DriverAgent and I noticed that under IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers, the NVIDIA nForce2 ATA Controller (v2.6) might have an update available. But how do I go about it and where can I find this update?

I’m asking this because I believe that the fact this driver is outdated is preventing me from playing my game on PC for some time now... :/

Thanks in advance!

Configuration: Windows XP / Firefox 9.0.1

    Hi,

Go to "Device Manager", click on the small arrow, right-click on the driver, and click on "Update Driver".

While you're at it, check for updates for the network and graphics cards, as well as the processors.

Hello Ges, and thank you for helping me, but unfortunately it’s not working :/ they are telling me that the Assistant cannot find a better software for the device...

Only DVD and Blu-ray players in ATA are readable on motherboards with SATA; if the motherboard has only one IDE connector, then to read an ATA or IDE disk, you can only use an external USB to IDE enclosure.
