Hello,
My parents just received an email saying that McAfee is automatically renewing their subscription... However, during a computer issue, their Customer Service sold them another antivirus and they are no longer using McAfee.
I requested an online cancellation through their cancellation service within the 60 days, and, FUNNY ENOUGH, the FAQ links to access these services are no longer working.
Example:
https://service.mcafee.com/webcenter/portal/cp/home/articleview?articleId=CS40029&lc=1036
So, while searching their website for other ways to contact them about this, I noticed that their online support link (via email) was also, BY A STRANGE COINCIDENCE, out of service!
Example:
https://service.mcafee.com/webcenter/portal/cp/page404
In the end, the only solution would be to call the phone service, which the corresponding page subtly mentions that (I quote):
"Phone charges may apply. Estimated wait time: 10-30 minutes."
Example:
https://service.mcafee.com/webcenter/portal/cp/page404
I still don't feel good about paying for a phone service under these conditions.
My questions are:
1 - Have you had a similar experience? Is there a remedy or service to address this type of abusive subscription?
2 - Do you have any idea how I can unsubscribe without paying?

Thank you for your response.
I will follow your advice. The only address I can find is their headquarters... I hope it will be fine... I'll keep you updated!

Whether it's the registered office or a postal box, it's sufficient, and in case of any dispute on their part (you make a photocopy of the termination letter), you have written proof that you no longer wish to use their services.
