"How many people have not yet realized their card payment for Big Fish Games every month?

How many people give their credit card number to strangers without thinking for 30 seconds or reading the terms of service...

It's clear, plus the cancellation of the subscription is not clear at all.

Hello,
Another sucker!
I just realized today that I have been paying a monthly subscription to Big Fish! And it’s been going on since March... we are in November. What a scam!
I just canceled the subscription on their website and requested a refund through their customer service. What steps should I take if they refuse to refund me?

Hi, I'm looking for how to unsubscribe from Big Fish Games. Can someone help me do this? I can't reach them. Thank you in advance, it's really a scam; I never signed up for a subscription.

I can't unsubscribe, what steps do I need to take? I'm not an expert, thank you.

I didn't realize anything :( but I just learned that it is possible to file a complaint because the parent company is in Luxembourg. Here is the address for those who wish to know:
BIG FISH GAMES
Sià.R.C
46a, Avenue Kennedy
L-1855
Luxembourg City
Grand Duchy OF LUXEMBOURG
There you go, that's already done... then you can contact: dgcc which deals with online purchase fraud, I give you the one in Macon for those from the 71: 03 85 22 57 00. Then you can also contact EURO INFO CONSO: (a paid number^^) 0820 200 999. There you go, I continue, tomorrow court and then we'll see
a little important info, it is not direct debits on your account but on your card to stop the hemorrhage, a blocking of your bank card is mandatory!
That's what I just did ;) there you go, good luck to you and keep your eyes open ++

I went to my bank alone, that's the only solution; otherwise, every month you'll be debited and I don't see any solution for me. I will never buy games again.

I wrote to Luxembourg and received a response from Seattle telling me to contact them through their website; I tried and the site crashes; therefore, it is impossible to contact them. This online store does not respond to regular mail.

A class action should really be considered against the actions of this company.

I have been subscribed to this site for almost a year and I am delighted. There is always a clause to accept when you sign up for a site, and it's not enough to just check the box without reading and then scream scam.
You have the option, during the day, to contact the site's help service via live chat, and they are very willing to answer your questions and requests. (under "my account")
It is also unnecessary to block your card; there is (still under "my account") a very visible link "Cancel my subscription"... a simple click and the problem is solved.

What is apparently great Mic2666 is that you need to reactivate your subscription to BIG FISH GAMES in order to talk to Customer Service, even though I am logged into the site. And the fact that canceling your subscription does not stop the withdrawals at all. I canceled mine in October 2012 (I subscribed in September), and oh!! I continue to be charged €5.99 every month, I don't find that normal, especially since the box shouldn't be checked by default; it is much more honest to let the potential customer check the box themselves so that they can truly express their real choice.

For my part, I find this outrageous.

you work for bfg, you need to uncheck a box at the base, I find that this concept (upside down, since you normally check) is the basis of this scam. Anyway, I've received a lot of messages from people who have canceled their subscription and all contact with bfg after my post. If I was able to help people free themselves from this scam, I am delighted!

no sidaj I don’t work for them I’m just a happy subscriber. Why should only the dissatisfied be able to respond to this post? ;)

You're super happy! To wrap things up, I was fully refunded by BFG, after involving the DGCC (which deals with internet purchase fraud), but probably without any connection! ;) Alright, have a good evening!

Hello, I am getting back to you regarding the scam I fell victim to by Big Fish Games. I notice that I am not the only victim of this scam:

http://fr.custplace.com/bigfish-games/avis-prelevement-mensuel-effectue-sans-accord-c-est-de-l-escroquerie-comment-stopper-ce-vol-11625

https://forums.commentcamarche.net/forum/affich-23780305-big-fish-games-abonnement-masque-et-abusif

It seems very evident that this is a scam. Justifying the theft of which I was a victim, you recently told me by email that an automatic payment authorization was set up during registration. Please note that this is totally impossible because how can there be any automatic payment authorization at the time of registration when no bank details are provided? This can be verified in 30 seconds.
Big Fish Game Inc. therefore took advantage of an enticing offer for the game Luxor 5 for an amount of 2.51 USD to subscribe without my consent to a subscription I never accepted.

Here is how the scam is set up.

1/ Big Fish advertises the offer to play games that are normally paid for free in trial mode.

2/ The victim wants to play for free in trial mode and therefore registers on the Big Fish Games site (I remind you, during the registration on the Big Fish Games site, no automatic payment authorization can be possible, except in a deceitful and fraudulent manner since no bank details are provided during registration)

3/ They then offer to buy games at a very low price, and it is at this moment that they manage to obtain the bank details of the future victims of their scams.
4/ Once the bank details are obtained, Big Fish secretly subscribes without authorization to the subscription.

I just want you to refund the stolen money, but if I have no choice, I will be forced to take legal action.

Actually, it's a scam that happens when they offer us a free trial of a game for a month, and when that trial is over, if we do nothing, the subscription is automatically renewed. So to avoid being caught, don't accept the free trial.

I have dealt with these abuses. I got myself a prepaid card. I load the exact amount onto this card, and that's it.

Hello,
I too have been scammed by Big Fish. After reading the terms carefully, I canceled my subscription after each game purchase, and there was no problem, but the last time they did cancel my subscription (it's specified on my Big Fish account) but they must have "forgotten" to also cancel the withdrawals for several months, and no game club credit on my account... since the subscription was canceled!! Great, that's a loss of money...

As for me, I was refunded in 2015 and my account is still deactivated.
Surprise! New withdrawals every month since June 2016.
I go to the website and my subscription is still considered closed.
There's only one thing left to do, block my credit card and request a new one.

No response from Big Fish after sending two complaints on their site.
I had to stop my card with Card Stop and order a new VISA card.
A complaint has been filed with Visa, for which I needed to block the card.
This matter is pending to see if I will receive a refund.

I have the same problem! But I changed my credit card for other reasons, and since then they have been literally harassing me by email to obtain my new card number! I don't respond, and I hope they'll get tired of it...

Thank you for the information; I suspected there was something fishy because I found it strange that this site requires me to provide payment method details with card numbers, whereas on other sites, you aren’t obligated to save your bank details, and a confirmation SMS is sent by your bank during payment. You can safely purchase certain games big fish on sites like amazon, but unfortunately, the selection remains limited.

Hello, it's a shame. I bought a game more than 5 years ago. I just realized that I have a withdrawal of 6 euros every month. At the very least, they have taken 350 euros from me.
Scammers.

I stopped the monthly payments some time ago.
But I wanted to let my grandchildren benefit from the purchased games.
However, we can't access them, or there are bugs and the game is halted. What to do?
