Abusive charge FREE

Hello,
Same problem, Free charged me 190 euros 6 months after canceling my subscription due to a move, even though I returned the modem in October 2008 but didn't keep a postal receipt!

I was able to get back my 190 euros because I filed a dispute with my bank (AXA BANK) within 7 days. Fees of 24 euros.

Today they are having me contacted by the debt collection company EFFICO... who is asking me to contact them urgently. For your information, Free does not have my new address, so I received no correspondence from them.

How can I resolve this issue now? Have you had any solutions to prove our good faith?

When you cancelled your subscription, you had to send a printed form. Did you send it by registered mail?

I'm not sure if I sent it by registered mail, I paid for the modem return 15.35 euros because I found the trace from the Post Office on my bank statements.
I think I attached the form with the modem.
Do you think with a copy of my bank statement + registered letter they will let me go? To which address should it be sent?
Thank you very much for your help!

The copy of your bank statement does not prove that you sent a package to Free!?
First of all, you shouldn't have sent it, but taken it to a Kiala relay like for exchanges, and there you would have had proof.

So if I understand correctly, I have no other option but to pay for a modem that I have already returned!!!

What a beautiful scam, or how the big fish take advantage of the little ones!!!

It's unfair.
