Blue-Green-Red LCD Screen

Question

Hello,

I have in my possession a technical LCD TV that I have been using for several months without any issues.
Since today, for no particular reason, it has a malfunction.
I have checked and the problem does not come from the source (ADSL TV) as the signal works on another TV.
I will describe the different steps leading up to the malfunction:
1° I turn it on
2° (about 5 seconds) Gray screen – static because no antenna is connected
3° Automatic selection of Ext 1 mode (source ADSL decoder)
4° (about 5 seconds) Display of the video feed
5° Intermittent green-blue-red screen

Do you have any idea where the problem might come from? Can I resolve it myself?
If not, will this malfunction be covered by the warranty?

I don't have an antenna at home, I receive TV through ADSL. Anyway, without anything plugged in, it switches to RGB mode.

Sylvainmorrant, I tried the long press on the menu button located on the side during startup and when it is in RGB mode. Nothing changes.

I noticed that before switching to RGB, I get some static with several format changes (16/9 then 4/3 then something else) and then I get an "Automatic
EXT1" message.

And then it switches to RGB.

I haven't thrown it away yet because I'm hoping to find a way to repair it one day, but it still seems to me that it reeks of planned obsolescence.

Hello...

It seems you have a SCART cable between the decoder and the TV... that's not very good!
If you can use an HDMI, it will be much better...

That's the case, but I don't think the problem comes from that, because even if the decoder is not plugged in, the issue is the same (except for the video stream display).

The problem remains unresolved; I tried again today by unplugging the ADSL decoder and it's still the same... In any case, before HDMI and LCD screens, a good cathodic TV lasted 10 years. So, progress still has progress to make...

Hello,Thank you for your reply :) I might not be able to respond for a few days, but I found a model similar to mine. The TV was purchased in 2010, I believe.I don’t know if this can help you while I provide you with the model and the serial number.Thank you for your assistance, I hope to keep it going for a few more years :)Best regards,Alex

Hello,  Here are the serial numbers I noted on the back of the device:  -SN: 6431914 800025  And the model: LCD 8201 HDB  Is this the information you need?  Thank you  Best regards  Alex

this looks like a serial number of a Vestel TV.
If under warranty, return the device for repair.
Either replacement of the motherboard or panel defect (doubtful that the device is functioning in permanent test mode with red, green, and blue panels).
