Hello,
A strange phenomenon is happening with my computer: all the files in a certain folder are invalid, while the same type of files work perfectly in the folder next door.
The affected files are in jpg, avi, pdf formats and even Notepad. They are located on another partition (not the Windows one), just like dozens of others that work perfectly in other folders.
I don't know if that's very clear...
I restored the system, and nothing changed. I removed the last installed software, just in case. Nothing. I cleaned the system. Nothing either. I'm a bit lost. Could someone shed some light on this?
Thanks in advance.

Do you have another operating system on this partition? Or is it a system (OS) reinstallation partition?
Thank you for responding so quickly.
No, I don't have another system and it's not a system reinstall partition.
The thing is that the files from the other folders work. And on the same partition!!
I don't understand.

no no, I'm not touching that. In fact, it's a sub-folder. I’m repeating myself, but the strange thing is that the other sub-folders in the same "family" work perfectly.
Of course, it's in that one that I have all the important stuff...
When I try to open one of the files, Windows blocks me (not available, no codec,...), when I try to move or delete them, it displays "impossible blabla: access denied."

I had the same thought as you. These files helped me create a website. So I uninstalled the software to push my thinking to the max, but nothing.
I’m a bit frustrated because it represents dozens of hours of work.
I still hope to find a solution.
Thank you.

Maybe the log is not uninstalled properly, reinstall it and then try transferring the files to the other partition... If it doesn't work, uninstall it cleanly with a program like CCleaner, clean the registry at the same time, and then try again.
Thank you for your help. I followed your advice, but nothing works. It's a mystery and a riddle. I give up.
Have a great weekend!!
