Hello, I sent my 14-year-old son with Telligo to a multimedia boarding site in Reffuc. The center has a really depressing view, and the worst part is the food. For a 12-day stay at 900 euros, he ate applesauce for almost all the desserts, overcooked pasta dishes, or poor-quality rice, breaded fish, or pork; if you don't eat pork, you'll get yesterday's fish. I find the food quality and quantity to be very, very mediocre, especially since they receive teenagers who need proper nourishment, and considering the price of the stay is almost equivalent to a stay in a three-star hotel, I expected seriousness, more variety, and better quality. It's not difficult to eat well with good local inexpensive options.
My daughter is in another camp where the food is simple, homemade, and of good quality. It's clear that it's possible to do things well when there's a will.
I just sent my 11-year-old child to the "Tout Schuss" camp.
It is because the experience was disastrous that I am posting this comment today. For your information, the dysfunctions listed below will allow you, very factually, to form an opinion about the care that Telligo devotes to the preparation of these stays.
- Health regulations. Following a surprise visit from health authorities, the chalet's kitchen was declared non-compliant and closed! The children had no hot meals starting from Tuesday!
Breakfast consisted of bread and cold milk, sometimes accompanied by orange juice.
Lunch was supposed to be prepared at the chalet and delivered at noon to a location at the foot of the slopes. Instead, it consisted of a vacuum-sealed sandwich bought at the supermarket and half a liter of water.
Finally, dinner consisted of vacuum-sealed trays reheated in the microwave and a piece of bread...
- Supervision promised of one instructor for 4/5 children. There was 1 instructor for 8 children.
- The purpose of the stay was to pass an insignia. Maxime was registered for the bronze star. Once there, there wasn't enough space for all the children in the ESF groups. It was the ESF instructors (independent of Telligo) who refused to overload the groups beyond 12 students (the legally required number). Maxime attended the 2nd star classes and thus returned with a 2nd star that he got 4 years ago...
- The rooms: upon arrival, there were 6 missing beds! 2 children were housed in the instructors' room. My child and 3 others were in a "room" of less than 10 m2 without bathrooms. Due to lack of space, the children's luggage could not be stored in the rooms, and they did not bring back half of their belongings.
- The bedding: the children had disposable hospital sheets. These sheets are supposed to be changed daily. This was not the case, and all slept directly on the mattress and blanket from the second day onwards.
- Transportation to the slopes: the children left the chalet at 8:30 AM on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday to wait for the bus for 1.5 hours! The buses always arrived full, and it was in small groups of 4 or 5 that the children reached the slopes. It was only on Wednesday that Telligo (after numerous phone complaints from parents) rented private shuttles.
You asked for an opinion. Mine will not encourage you.
Best regards.
We did not have that chance. The camp was canceled three weeks before departure via email. The money had already been paid. We had booked for over two months. They do not offer us equivalent camps to fall back on. What can I say other than the customer service is non-existent and it’s better not to have any problems with them.
