Hello everyone.
My processor was overheating a lot and I just changed my case and CPU cooler to fix this problem. It's true that the temperature has dropped significantly, but not enough for my liking. Even with all these efforts, my processor's temperature does not go below 54°C (at rest!), even with the cooler running at full power. I find that it's not normal, but I heard that it's the processor's fault.. (?)
What do you think?

Here are my configurations:
Processor: Dual Core E5400, 2.7GHz
Motherboard: Asus P5QPL-VM EPU
Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GT220
RAM: 4GB DDR2
CPU Cooler: CNPS9500A LED, Zalman
Case: Antec, Nine Hundred Two (4 fans)
Power Supply: Diamond Power 800W
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 32Bit

Here is the temperature report from EVEREST that I just ran:
Temperatures:
Motherboard 33 °C (91 °F)
Processor 54 °C (129 °F)
CPU #1 / Core #1 54 °C (129 °F)
CPU #1 / Core #2 41 °C (106 °F)
Aux 79 °C (174 °F)
GPU Diode 43 °C (109 °F)
Seagate ST3200827AS 35 °C (95 °F)
WDC WD5000AADS-00S9B0 31 °C (88 °F)

Good evening,

It's normal for your processor to reach 54°C; it's primarily an electronic component that heats up because it opposes resistance to electrical current.
We need to put this temperature into perspective; just remember that the human body temperature is 37°C, which is only about 15°C below this temperature, and yet we are merely flesh and blood beings, without electrical power and metal components ^^

In fact, if the processor's temperature doesn't exceed 60-65°C when running at full capacity, you have nothing to worry about; it's at a normal temperature ^^ (the average temperature of a processor at rest is 50°C and 60°C under intense activity).

I just checked the maximum temperature on the intel site with your processor reference, and it seems that it would be 74°C.

So I don't think there's any reason to worry in my opinion ^^
