Hello,
I just purchased a TomTom XL IQ ROUTE version 2 GPS with European maps, and I would like to know if adding a map of Réunion will not disrupt my European map. Thank you in advance for the information.
Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 3.6.10

Hello, YES.
Indeed, I myself purchased the Réunion-Mauritius mapping, etc...
It installs very easily. Then, you just need to select the "manage maps" option, new map, and switch to Indian Ocean. The same maneuver to return to the Western Europe map. The mapping is relatively good except for the Tamarins road which does not exist. Nevertheless, when you are there, the GPS recognizes it, positions itself on it but without naming it. I hope I answered the question. -
Hello Pheldge,
My GPS is the Tomtom XL carto France only. The carto for La Réunion can be purchased online from the Tom Tom website for 30€, I believe.
It installs very easily, and in case of problems, Tom Tom's customer service is very reliable. Their website also lists the models compatible with this carto. You need to look for Indian Ocean. I tested the carto a month ago. It is quite effective but a bit outdated. This means that some streets (in Port, for example) are indicated as unpaved roads while they are now fully completed and inhabited. I got lost in St-Denis for not following the GPS instructions that seemed wrong to me when in fact they were accurate! Enjoy your stay in La Réunion. -

Yes, I know that tomtommax offers one for 29 euros and 90 cents, but I'm not sure if buying it and installing it on my GPS will erase my EUROPE map. I just want to know if it's possible to have both maps on the XL IQ ROUTE version 2. Thank you for your response and thank you for your answer k770i.
