Symbols not printing with Word 2010

Hello,

I just installed Word 2010. I'm working on a form with symbols (small square checkbox type). The symbols appear in the print preview, but not when printed. I've searched through file/options and a bit everywhere else, but I can't find anything...
Do you have the solution? I've been at it for 2 hours...

The solution was:
Printer properties
Tab "General" click on print options
Tab "Font" uncheck the box "Use printer fonts"
click on "Apply" then "OK"

Thank you for your response, it wasn't easy to find because the parameter was well hidden, but I managed to get it!!

The symbols and bullets are visible in the preview, but not on the document once printed.

Check the print options:
"print only form data" must be unchecked.

Good evening,

I'm sorry, it's a bit late to get back...
As I read your message, I just realized that your checkboxes do not come from the forms toolbar but from special characters. Some of them do not print. But, you might be using the Windings2 boxes, and I don't see why the ones you printed with 2007 wouldn't work with 2010.
I hope you were able to find a solution.

No, no solution... I'll still try saving it as a pdf. Normally, it's a kind of screenshot... it should work.
Anyway, if anyone has an idea, I'm all ears!

"Print form data only" is unchecked, but it doesn't change anything.

The preview matches what I did. This time, I clicked on an advanced option in the "File" menu (can't remember where, obviously) and now I have "€" symbols instead of my square bullets.
I didn't have this problem with WORD 2007, why should I change the settings with Office 2010? Compatibility issue with the printer?
Thank you for helping me, I need to submit this document to my boss in 20 minutes...
