Hello,
I want to know which is better, PES 2011 or FIFA 2011, knowing that FIFA 2011 has just been released today, and the PES 2011 demo has been available since September 15th. Which do you think is better?
I think PES will be the best.

Configuration: Windows XP / Internet Explorer 8.0

I’ll explain it quickly
PES: beautiful faces, dull terrain, running like robots, terrible atmosphere on the field, no fluidity in the game (it's rigid)
FIFA: faces not always well done (but many are well done), colorful terrain (beautiful), huge atmosphere, successful running animation, very fluid
FIFA is better overall, although the players are better rendered in PES, but when you play, you don't care about the faces XD
So long live FIFA!

Hey everyone, I just read your comments and I couldn't stay silent about this LOL. Anyone who tells me that FIFA is realistic can't be a true football fan; it's impossible. I've been trying FIFA every year and I always have the feeling I'm playing a kids' game. The players are poorly made, the goalkeepers always dive the same way, we can cover the whole field with just one player. Just look at the heads and feet of the players, it’s laughable. There’s no depth to the gameplay; we just attack points. Please stop comparing FIFA to PES; you can’t compare a Deux Chevaux to a Ferrari. See you later.

It's obvious you haven't played FIFA 11... it's no surprise that FIFA 11 sold much more than PES 2011.

I bought FIFA 11, don't let the graphics down, Valbuena for example has a ponytail u_u

PES is largely better than FIFA, just look at the graphics; the players in FIFA are too poorly made while in PES, the players really look like they're real. In FIFA, it really feels like a console match, but when you play PES, you truly feel like a real match is being played. The graphics are a thousand times better in PES than in FIFA. After that, it's just a question of licensing or not; when you play football, it's not for the jerseys but for the sport. We're not going to cry just because some clubs don't have Adidas or Nike on their jerseys. Anyway, PES is once again above FIFA this year.

Well, we'll see which one will sell the most.

In PES, when I make a pass, it happens 3 seconds after I press the button, whereas in FIFA it's instantaneous. I find that PES has lag times, and it's not just in 2011.

People who seek leisure and fun choose FIFA; it's easy to pick up and enjoyable, etc. People who look for difficulty and a more advanced learning curve opt for PES, that's it.

LOL, it's actually the opposite, FIFA is much more full than PES.

What the hell are you guys smoking when you play? Are we not playing the same game or what!
Don't you feel that PES isn't fluid when the players run??? Like when they sprint, they can only turn at a certain angle and everything, it's rubbish!!!
And graphically in PES, the players all look like little fat guys seriously XD all short and stubby
And if you look at any magazine that compares them, it says PES has made a leap in its series but is still below
And don't tell me PES is simulation and FIFA is arcade, that's nonsense! Anyone with an objective viewpoint would say otherwise. After you prefer one or the other that's one thing, but you shouldn't switch the terms that correspond to each.

In my opinion, the best way to know is to test both of them and form your own opinion without listening to others...

PES without hesitation! A better gameplay and the legend mode is still better than the career mode!

I must admit that since 2009, FIFA has become better than PES even though I prefer PES.
So this year, I don't think it will change from the last two years: FIFA will have more success in my opinion.
But otherwise, I find that in terms of graphics, PES far surpasses FIFA.

At the graphics level, does PES surpass FIFA?? Are you kidding or what? PES is so poorly done it looks like robots are running.

It's true that PES is much prettier than FIFA; in FIFA, the pitch is too blurry, it ruins everything.

Fifa is more graphically refined than PES.

It's true that PES is better, FIFA is just a question of money. Sure, there's more content, but the fun of the game isn't there. And frankly, despite the increased budget for FIFA from FIFA 9 to FIFA 11, there's no change in terms of gameplay and graphics; they're the same once again, it's just the content that changes.

Hi, I have both games on PC and honestly, I don't know which one to play ^^ Actually, in terms of content and all that, PES is definitely better; the career mode is very well developed and superbly executed, I love it!! However, regarding the licenses, it's not great, although this year they added the Copa Libertadores (Argentinian league) and I won't even mention the transfers that are not up-to-date (Loïc Rémy, Gignac, etc...) On the other hand, we have FIFA, where the commentary is exactly the same as in FIFA 10. The gameplay is for sure mind-blowing compared to PES, and also, we have the real licenses. So for me personally, I prefer FIFA 11 for the gameplay and the licenses, but for the career mode and being able to play in the Champions League or be nominated for the Ballon d'Or, I prefer PES 2011. So it's up to you to make your choice or buy both ^^ Have a good afternoon!!!

I will only talk about the gameplay perspective; from a content standpoint, it seems there's no comparison.

I’ve been a pro soccer fan since I was little, or rather since international superstar soccer on Super NES.
Then the PES series came along, and for me, FIFA was in the dust.
By 2008, PES started to seriously stagnate and failed to continue its crazy rise... FIFA started to make a mark.
In 2009, it was a total wipeout; FIFA is a pure gem, while PES stagnated on its flaws. A huge simulation for FIFA, and a simple arcade game for PES!

This year, I find that PES has bounced back more than well.
I would need more playtime on both versions to finalize my opinion, but I preferred playing PES... maybe a surge of nostalgia.

I acknowledge that FIFA 11 has more content (it's a matter of money), but how can you say that it is prettier than PES 11! And no matter how much I try both, I have much more fun playing PES 11 than FIFA 11. Honestly, FIFA hasn't changed at all in 11, it's the same as in 09 and 10.

It's PES 2011 that hasn't changed anything compared to 2010, while in FIFA there's been a lot of changes: the pitches are better made, in 10 they were bright green LOL, you can also play as the goalkeeper, not in PES, and with FIFA, taking a penalty is not as easy as in PES. PES is basic, FIFA is more complex and more refined.

Know that FIFA is fundamentally an arcade game and that PES is fundamentally a simulation game, so in terms of graphics, FIFA is more refined, but in terms of complexity and realism, it's PES that comes out on top. If you go to McDonald's or to stores that have PlayStations reserved for the public/customers, you will never see a PES, only FIFAs or racing games or other simple arcade games.

dingofoot57 Posted messages 958 Status Membre 84

"At the base," wow, FIFA for an arcade game really stands out, lol, I can't even imagine what it would be like if it had originally been a simulation game XD. As you said, partners offer FIFA simply because it's better. Look, FIFA's sales are currently much higher than PES's sales, the PS3 + FIFA pack was already sold out in some stores. At the Leclerc near my place, there was a huge FIFA display, and not even a small one for PES, lol.

Fifa has evolved a lot, both in terms of gameplay and there is now a new way to take penalties and you can play as the goalkeeper.

Before, PES was superior to FIFA on the PS2 (between 2005 and 2008, PES was on top). But since then, FIFA has caught up on HD consoles.

Fifa 11 without hesitation, the gameplay is better and the FIFA scene is always more active than the PES scene, in PES there's no ULTIMATE TEAM, ... and when you have to wait for the match to load or if you just want to practice before a match you can play in the Arena in Fifa, and that's really well thought out, in PES you have to wait like a fool for the match to start, PES 2011 is almost the same as 2010. While Fifa 11 has changed a lot from Fifa 10, you can now play as the goalkeeper, there's another way that's harder but also more realistic to take a penalty, ... Furthermore, with Fifa 11 in online play you can have more players than with PES 2011. With Fifa you have all the info on all teams in real time, and that's really cool.

On this topic of discussion, we defend the game, the graphics, and the gameplay. If you want to buy FIFA because it has a better pastime during loading, then here's some advice: you could buy an Atari or a Neo Geo, that way you'll never have loading times again. No kidding, since when do we judge a game based on the loading style?

dingofoot57 Posted messages 958 Status Membre 84

I meant to say that it's well thought out by Microsoft, and you can also play in the Arena from the home menu to practice penalties, free kicks, learn technical moves, ... it's fun.

FOOTBALL SPECIALIST

TO ANSWER THE QUESTION FIFA OR PES IS VERY, VERY SIMPLE
AS A FOOTBALL CONSOLE PLAYER (15 years)

I CHOOSE PES WITHOUT HESITATION why?

FOR PEOPLE WHO UNDERSTAND FOOTBALL AND ARE LOOKING FOR A GAME THAT CLOSELY RESEMBLES REALITY, THERE'S NO COMPARISON, IT'S PES 2011

FOR PEOPLE WHO KNOW NOTHING ABOUT FOOTBALL AND LIKE BABY GAMES, IT'S FIFA 11

NO COMPARISON PES IS CLEARLY ABOVE FIFA in terms of graphics and gameplay!!!

I AM EVEN VERY SURPRISED THAT THE QUESTION IS BEING ASKED, fifa or pes

I agree with Haian, PES is far better both in terms of graphics and gameplay enjoyment. Honestly, there's no doubt about it for me; FIFA is worthless. They haven't made any progress from 9 to 11, and even FIFA fans tell me that. But since they made significant progress from 8 to 9, they seem to be resting on their laurels.

But are you blind or what? In 11 you can control the goalkeeper, not in 10, in 11 there are more leagues, there are Friendly Leagues, etc.
Pato, can you tell me what changes occurred in PES 2011 compared to PES 2010 and even PES 2009? You say FIFA hasn't changed, but then tell me what's changed in PES since you're so clever ^_^
